Moving to Australia for better life has become a standard talk for every family in India. For decades people all over from India are moving to Australia for career,leisure,travel and settlement. Undoubtedly Indian in Australia have made there stand in life and achieved a lot, which would be a dream for many if they were  still in India. The good side of people moving to Australia often hides the dark side. This is something unsaid and probably not so important topic however it does impact a lot of Indian who are in Australia. On retrospective issues of loneliness, domestic violence, divorce, disjoint extended families are some of the effects impacting our community as we speak.

Well someone would argue that these issue are prominent part of communities back in India as well so what’s the difference. Well Moving to Australia one would think that these shouldn’t be a part of parcel of your life anymore as most of us here develop a habit of  managing our emotions well and  acknowledge the difference in culture which exist here in Australia  ,however still these issue haunt Indian in Australia more than any one. But why?

Are we just a confused bunch of Indian in Australia? Who wants to develop and have great lifestyle but still too scared of losing their Indian identity which at times is based on ego, anger and hatred. Why do we see a lot of comparison, criticism and complain happening in all social engagement involving Indian in Australia.

Or  the root cause of all relationship issues whether its India or Australia it lack of engagement,while we can manage out feeling well in the end extended families,friends and families does make a difference.So the conclusion is whatever may come try to be in touch with your family for overall happiness .

We long to ease our loneliness but don’t get us wrong, We love living in Australia. Even after the immigration processes, missing important events at home and growing apart from our Indian  roots, We wouldn’t change a thing.
